Troubleshooting

• app_unavailable: start the website build of Framecap; the App Store build has no bridge.
• permission_required: grant Screen Recording and restart Framecap. Do not reset TCC.
• Python missing: install Python 3.8+ from a trusted source and put its absolute path in MCP config; the GUI still works without Python.
• Client shows no tools: verify absolute paths, restart/reconnect, then inspect client logs. GUI clients may not inherit shell PATH.
• file_exists: choose a new output; use overwrite only when explicitly intended.
• timeout: inspect the output/session before retrying.
• scroll paused: restore overlap and sample again; it is not an appended frame.
• wrong coordinates: distinguish display points from source pixels and check Retina scale.
• malformed config or an existing different framecap entry: the config tool stops instead of overwriting it.
